History

In 1928 Glenn Walker started a men’s clothier in a small, single storefront in Lancaster, Wisconsin. His vision was to offer quality clothing at an affordable price. He offered formal and casual work wear with onsite alterations and repair for those who needed it. His son, John Walker, began working with his father at an early age and in 1959 bought the business. In 1990, after great expansion, John’s son, Steve Walker, purchased the family business and continued to build on its foundation.

Today, what once was a men’s clothier, has grown into a fashion destination for the entire family. With over 16,000 square feet and five store fronts, Walker’s Clothing and Shoes now offers an entire line of clothing for men and women, and shoes for the whole family while continuing to offer quality personal service not found in traditional retail stores.

Walker’s Clothing and Shoes is one of Wisconsin’s largest shoe stores, offering more than 22,000 pairs. We also have one of the area’s largest Carhartt stores, and carry an extensive selection of jeans, and casual name brand sportswear. Walker’s is a leading supplier of suits, sport coats and Big & Tall wear.
Walker’s newest addition to the family of businesses is Game Face Sports. It is located on the square filled with an impressive line of Packer, Badger, Brewer, Cubs, and Iowa apparel and novelties. Visit gfsteamwear.com to shop Game Face Sports from home.
